What Do You Need To Make Keto Walnut Pie?

When making Keto Pecan Pie, the ingredients needed are different from what you’d typically use in a non-keto-friendly traditional pecan pie. Be sure to purchase the following materials:

Almond Flour – Instead of using traditional all-purpose flour, almond flour is needed to prepare this keto-friendly pie.

Monk Fruit Flavoring – You will need to use monk fruit sweetener as an alternative to regular sugar, which is often added to give muffins a sweet taste. It’s an excellent keto substitute as it adds mild sweetness to the cake.

Maple Extract – Maple extract offers a light maple syrup flavor to make the cake even more delicious.

Chopped Walnuts – Of course you need walnuts to make pecan pie. Be sure to buy chopped ones, as they are easier to work with while preparing this delicious pie.

Vanilla Extract – An added touch of vanilla extract pairs well with maple extract, pecans, and monk fruit flavoring.

Besides these basic ingredients, you need to have eggs, cream and melted butter to prepare Keto Pecan Pie.

How to Make Keto Walnut Pie?

Before you begin, grease a 9-inch skillet and set your oven to 350F. You will need to mix eggs, butter, almond flour, sweetener, and salt to create a slightly thick dough that you will use as your Keto Pecan Pie crust.

After you prepare the dough and spread it in the pan, whisk together the cream, monk fruit flavoring, melted butter, maple extract, and vanilla extract.

You will need to put the walnuts on the dough and then pour the wet ingredient mixture over them. Bake the Keto Pecan Pie for about 40 minutes.

How to Store Keto Pecan Pie

Store your Keto Pecan Pie in a cake pan with a foil base and plastic lid. Put it in the fridge to keep it fresh. You can pre-slice it to make it easier for you to get a piece whenever you want. If you want to make it ahead of time for a family gathering or other special occasion, you can freeze Keto Pecan Pie for up to two months at a time.
